Farnham's Mill was one of the earliest mills established in Minneapolis. It lay on the west side of Hennepin Island at the east end of St. Anthony Falls.
Fournier was one of the first local artists in Minnesota. He was born in St. Paul and studied both in this country and at the Julien Academy in France.
